Entry differences: Mogadishu, Somaliland and Puntland

Steps

1. Write down every planned arrival and onward point, including Mogadishu, Hargeisa, Berbera, Bosaso, Garowe or a land border.
2. For federal Somalia entry, review the current ICA and ETAS instructions.
3. For Somaliland-controlled entry, review Somaliland Immigration's current notice and obtain direct confirmation from that authority and your airline.
4. For Puntland arrival, obtain current written confirmation from the airline and the immigration authority responsible at the intended port; do not infer the rule from Mogadishu or Somaliland.
5. If travelling between jurisdictions, verify exit, onward-entry and document-recognition requirements for each segment.
6. Carry the authorisations accepted for each segment and allow time for additional checks.
