  1. Confirm the warning through SoDMA, SWALIM, local authorities or recognized humanitarian sources.
  2. Identify higher ground and a safe route before water rises.
  3. Keep identity documents, medicine, drinking water, a phone charger and essential items ready.
  4. Move children, older people, people with disabilities and livestock early when advised.
  5. Avoid walking or driving through moving water.
  6. Continue monitoring official instructions and do not return until local authorities say it is safe.
